Dr Peter White holds the joint roles of both Managing and Technical Director of Nova Laboratories Limited, a company he founded in 1994.

Peter has over 36 years of experience within Pharmacy and holds the following qualifications and professional memberships:

  • BSc (Pharmacy), PhD, MRPharms, MSEE
  • Is a Qualified Person as defined in EC Directive
  • Member of the Standards Committee for Isolation Technology
  • Member of Pharmaceutical & Healthcare Sciences Society (PHSS)

Peter’s responsibilities include:

  • Facilities & equipment design, development and construction
  • Validation approval
  • Liaison with major industrial customers
  • Introduction of new manufacturing processes & equipment

Commercial & Financial Director

John Seaton holds the joint positions of Commercial & Financial Director, as well as that of Company Secretary. John joined the company in 2001, having previously worked for ICI and Lloyds Retail Chemists amongst others.

John has over 23 years experience and currently holds the following qualifications and professional memberships:

Head of Sterile Manufacturing

Simon Phillips holds the position of Head of Sterile Manufacturing at Nova Laboratories Limited and joined the company in 2011, from GlaxoSmithKline. Simon has 10 years experience in API manufacture and development as a Pilot Plant Manager in the pharmaceutical industry. Simon also has 10 years experience in the Fine Chemical industry and currently holds the following qualifications and professional memberships:

  • BSc (Hons) Applied Chemistry
  • CCHEM MRSC

Head Of Quality

Dr Neil Housley is the acting Head of Quality and joined Nova in 2008, having previously worked in production & quality management positions with global pharmaceutical and laboratory testing companies.

Quality Assurance Manager

Audrey Holt holds the position of Quality Assurance Manager at Nova Laboratories Limited and joined the company in 2000, from Cortec Diagnostics Ltd.
Audrey has 19 years experience in the Medical Device / Pharmaceutical Industries and currently holds the following qualifications and professional memberships:

  • BSc (Hons)

Head of Engineering

Graeme McManus holds the position of Head of Engineering at Nova Laboratories and joined the company in 2005 having worked for a number of well know manufacturing organizations.

Graeme has 20 years practical engineering experience and holds an HND in mechanical engineering.

Graeme’s responsibilities include:

  • Equipment design & build
  • Equipment maintenance
  • Engineering support for manufacturing

Head of Compounding and Medical Devices

Paul Kelsall holds the position of Head of Compounding and Medical Devices and joined the company in July 2007. Paul has over 16 years experience within the Pharmaceutical industry, having previously worked for Boots Manufacturing and Reckitt Benckiser. Paul’s previous positions were within the areas of Manufacturing, Business Improvement and Logistics.

Paul’s responsibilities include:

  • Management of the Compounding and Commercial manufacturing facilities.
  • Staff training and development.
  • EH&S across the two sites.
  • Continuous Improvement (incorporating Lean principles and Six Sigma).
  • Project Management.
  • Customer Liaison.

Analytical Services Manager

Dr Grant Kelly holds the position of Analytical Services Manager at Nova Laboratories Limited and joined the company in 2009. Grant has 18 years of experience in analytical chemistry within the pharmaceutical industry, obtained in R&D and contract testing environments. Grant has a BSc (Hons) Analytical Chemistry and a PhD.

Grant’s responsibilities include:

  • Management of analytical chemistry and microbiology functions
  • Responsible for raw material, in-process and release testing
  • Customer Liaison
