Non Sterile Compounding Unit – Production Operatives and Production Administrator.

As we expand, opportunities have arisen to join the NSCU specials manufacturing team.
Reporting to the leadership team you will join a small, dedicated team manufacturing ‘Special’ unlicensed medicines.

NSCU Medicinal Product Manufacture Operative,

4 days/week, 37hours  Shift: 12 noon to 11.30pm, Mon, Tues, Weds and 12 noon to 4pm Thurs
Production operative responsibilities will include routine production of Specials and Batch medicinal products in line with customer orders and production schedules, following Pharmaceutical Good Manufacturing Principles, and activities will include:
• Preparation of a wide range of products following instructions/methods from worksheets or Batch Manufacturing Records.
• Completion of relevant GMP documentation.
• Working in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures, company working practices and GMP.
• Performing regular daily tasks e.g. stock management, balance set-up and calibration checks. Assisting in vacuuming, cleaning and disinfecting of NSCU production areas.

NSCU Production Administrator,  5 days/week, 37 hours, 7-3 / 9-5 rotating shift

Production administrator responsibilities will include the preparation of manufacturing documentation and labels for the manufacture of unlicensed medicines, as follows
• Generate batch numbers, interpret customer orders and transfer data on to relevant production worksheets on receipt of customer orders.
• Generate formulas and perform calculations required to issue worksheets for manufacture of unlicensed special medicines following relevant SOPs.
• Generation of pharmaceutical production labels.
• Liaise with manufacturing, customer services, dispatch and Quality Releasing Officers to ensure an accurate and efficient service.
The key attributes and skills required are:
• Technical / Scientific background, preferably with pharmaceutical experience.
• An ability to work with numbers and documents in order to be able to calculate pharmaceutical formulas and transcribe information accurately and efficiently with excellent attention to detail.
• Good time management skills, ability to work under pressure to meet timelines.

It is preferable to have previous experience of working in a Pharmaceutical or GMP environment, but full training will be provided to the right individual.
